5 Tips For Thriving During The Holidays

With the cold weather and short days, your mood might not be the best you would like it to be. Here are 5 tips to keep your spirits up and keep you thriving during the holidays!

1. Stick to a routine
Since winter days are shorter and darker, it is essential to stick to a routine so you are able to establish structure in your days.

2. Get enough sunlight

With shorter days comes less sunlight-- make sure you are going outside throughout the bright hours of the day to ensure you are fueling your serotonin.

3. Connect with friends and family
You may feel extra isolated during the winter months. It is important to maintain connections with those you care about for support.

4. Keep yourself active
Whether it be a short walk around the block or some time spent at the gym, make sure you get your body moving-- it helps to reduce stress and anxiety.

5. Do some self care
Finally, taking care of yourself should be your number one priority. Run a hot bath, watch your favorite show, cook a nice meal, or curl up in bed, anything that can help you relax and feel comfort.
